Such a big deal, it made CNN. Out in Stubai, Austria, Anna Gasser became the first woman to ever land a Cab Triple 1260 trick! A cab triple 1260 consists of taking off from your switch (goofy/ right foot first) riding position on a snowboard, performing three backflips mid air, and landing in a regular riding position (left foot first). Sounds tough right? You may be thinking it took Anna may painful times of trial and error to stick the landing. Believe it or not, Gasser stuck the landing on her first official try, rewriting the history of snowboarding flawlessly.
I am so stoked to see that there are people out there still trying new tricks and pushing the limits of snowboarding. With so many superior athletes in the world, it is extremely difficult to accomplish something nobody has ever done before. This trick by Gasser lit up social media, as she is a Red Bull sponsored athlete. Hopefully she will pull out this masterpiece in the upcoming 2022 Winter Olympics set in Beijing.
